John has extensive performing, instruction and recording experience. He is well versed in many musical styles including Jazz, Fusion, Pop, R&B, Big Band, Swing, Oldies, Blues, Dance Accompaniment and Solo drumming. John has operated a small home studio for many years, producing, composing, arranging and engineering many audio projects for other artists, using both traditional outboard as well as software equipment.

The many who know him John Bernard Zachary (a.k.a) Jozac that he is synonymous with the word music. inspired by his father, a musician and encouraged by his mother for her love of music, he has achieved recognition and notability in his art. Born in Brooklyn NY July 28 1961,under the zodiac sign of leo, Jozac began drumming at the age of four and engineering at eight. his musical career has spaned four and a half decades. accoustic drumming is his most prominent talent.
He’s mastered the art of drumming with dedicated passion. he also plays electronic drums, and other percussion instruments. He’s no stranger to the bass & lead guitars, piano, synthesizer, harmonica and melodica. he adores his midi keyboard. a man of many titles : Composer, Producer, Engineer, Entertainer ( to name a few ). He is familiar with most daws (digital audio work- stations) such as Protools and Digital Performer. ultimately to produce electronically and organically (elorg) his unique style of music he prefers, has mastered and is a certified user of Logic Pro. While working at Sam Ash in the heart of new york city selling drums he was given the title (the new york guru)
jozac's awesome talents' and gifts' have afforded him many gratifying and pleasurable opportunities. one that sparkles his eye is the luxury to literally be a "one man band." in the making of his recordings he is totally self sufficient. it is what it is., ( jozacmusic ) ! another he enjoys is the ability to give back. he's done this through teaching, instructing, tech support, clinician, touring and performing with other inspiring artist. jozac the first 2 letters of his first name and the last 3 of his surname he awarded himself as a youngster. used as a nickname by family and friends for a long time, it is now ultimately his pseudonym. influenced by; artists, Stevie Wonder, Tony Williams, Buddy Rich and Baby Dodds ; working one on one with the late Montego Joe (mentor); an avid listener of jazz, orchestral,rhythm and blues, latin, polka and so much more he has developed a style of his own. we don't know what to call it. you be the judge. currently jozac is focused on his own music and preparing for the release of his debut album entitled DIVERSITY ! a peek at his repertoire: recording with artist Eugene Toon 1976 touring with the Eddie Tigner’s Ink Spots revue 1983-1990 produces gospel lp with Alfred Christian 1995 Rick Mclemore production engineer just let me play 2001 toured paris with Plunky and Oneness 2008 Jozac’s debut album release set for 2011.
